These notes are intended to be distributed to all active and auxiliary
members. Please distribute copies to your Praesidium and Council
members.
Allocutio
Fr. Peffley gave the Allocutio. The object of the Legion is to give
glory to God. He chose to create us and share his love and happiness so
we will be happy with him for all eternity. We give glory to God by
growing in holiness. We develop holiness by both prayer and action. We
say the Catena or entire Tessera, we pray the rosary and we can attend
daily Mass and Communion. Our active works are done under the guidance
of the pastor. We need to be miraculous meddlers to get things done. We
have been entrusted to Our Lady’s care. She helps to save
souls,
which is also the Church’s work. We help her by advancing the
reign of Christ and by promoting the Sacraments, Mass, Adoration,
Enthronements and by regaining Christian homes for Christ. The spirit
of the Legion is Mary herself.
