Bishop Dilorenzo Enforces Cannon Law

Filed under: News — Chrysostom @ 10:26 pm

In the recent issue of the Catholic Virginian, Bishop Dilorenzo of the Richmond Diocese reminds the faithfull that Pastoral and Finance Councils of Parishes are advisory and have no authority to make decisions.

In doing so, he stands up for the Dogma of the Catholic Church which says that Jesus Christ is Lord. While many believe that the Church should be a democracy, governed by a majority vote, the Catholic Church holds that men and woman should be obediant to God’s will. This belief continues further in the belief that God commissioned 12 apostles to spread the Good News in His name, and that those persons with orders from God to do so (Holy Orders) should continue following the example of the apostles and preaching the Good News.

The decision to support the existing Code of Cannon Law of the Church, and to affirm the duty of those appointed by Jesus Christ to run His Church is a powerfull rebuke to those who believe that obediance to God should be secondary to doing what is popular.

Glory to God in the Highest, and peace to His people on earth!
