The note of sternness must be banished from the legionary mission. Qualities essential to success, and above all when dealing with the outcast and the sinner, are those of sympathy and unvarying gentleness. Ecclessiology is the study of the Church and what is revieled by God.
The highest form of life is the contemplative life in a monastary. It is the life of St. John the Beloved.
This is different from the life of Peter. The life of Peter is the life of bishops and priests. It is the second highest form of life.
The third highest form of life is the lay life. This are the baptised and confirmed who received Communion and who ratiate the light of the Church — they are the front lines in the effort to inflame the world with the love of God. The Legion of Mary is a form of lay life in the Church, it is a vocation like that of the clergy and the monks/nuns.Â
