Videos from the 2006 Tidewater Curia Congress are now online.  Videos include all 4 talks by local legionaries, and 3 of the 4 talks by Fr. Peffley.  Text of all 4 talks is also online.  For Fr. Peffley’s talks, and for the 2nd legionary talk on the giving of work reports the audio should render well.  For the others talks, you may need to turn up your audio as the speakers were slightly less loud.

 

First, I want to say that when I went to Mass in at St. Thomas Aquinas a few months ago, even though the parish lacked kneelers, almost everyone knelt during the consecration.  Only two people did not kneel at that Mass.  That said, St. Thomas Aquinas now has kneelers.

Just a reminder that people still must kneel, even if a parish does not have kneelers.  Only ill health, lack of space, or another reason that prevents kneeling are exceptable reasons not to kneel.  A lack of kneelers is not.

In responce to a Bishop’s question of “whether a Diocesan Bishop would be able to oblige his priests to admit women and girls to service at the altar”. The Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments wrote back ”no”.

Here is a reminder that the Legion of Mary Tidewater Congress is this coming Saturday from 9AM until 4PM at Saint Gregory Catholic Church.  Come to all or part of the day.  Fr. Peffley is very excited to come.  It all kicks off with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass offered at 9AM in the church.  The rest will take place in the Tobias room.

Silence is importaint in our spiritual lives.

Life is a mystery, beyond what we can understand in our lives; we improve our understanding of mysteries in silence

 

I just deleted 19 spam comments.  We’ve been getting a fair amount of spam, so I’m going to take some action against the spam-bots.  Please let me know if you have trouble posting.

 My understanding is that now, if you don’t register, you’ll need to answer a math question before posting.  They should be easy for many people.  Questions like “what is the sum of 3 and 7.”  If you have trouble, use a calculator.

Side effect of the Legion of Mary is good society, caused by the spreading of the Catholic Faith. All that we do must be focused on being a light in the world and in making people holy

Society and social effects of Legion of Mary work is temporary.  Holiness developed in people is eternal.  People move to heaven or hell and don’t stop existing.  This world, however, will pass
